In testing conditions at Clarke’s Beach, Byron Bay, a group of volunteers came together as a group to enable an experience that you would think was impossible.

Everyone there understood and showed the appreciation they have for their lives physically.Beyond the obvious physical disability, soulfully on another level the happiness from the experience of whizzing along a wave in the crystal clear waters of Byron Bay together, sharing that short moment of complete happiness lasts a lifetime in the hearts and memories of all that was there participating and helping.

The obvious message i got from it was, the essence of what life experiences should all be about.Forget money, expectations, and life’s weight of self created stresses. The day was a success in that regard of the true essence of life and fun.

Thanks to D.S.A. they enabled the world of unity, passion, compassion and a sun, wave, fun filled few hours that really instilled in me …

To live life to the fullest and funnest!

The encouragement there and the hands on effort to create a moment for each person there was tremendous.YOu cant compare the experience as it held it’s own magic and offered it’s own unique experience. I find comparison creates a wedge betweeen things and people and often separates us.

No one human is the same,

or see’s the same,

or hears the same,

or feels the same…..so why try compare?

Every moment experienced in your perception should be cherished and treasured.

Be grateful for your moments and successes. It’s what we can take anywhere and everywhere with us.

Kelly really touched me in a way i have not experienced before.I was so nervous and full of fear for her life, at the thought of having to push her into a wave.THe conditions were hard and it was awfully windy and choppy.

Kelly was in a wheel chair that had a breathing machine attached. Two nurses came along for the day with her and they switched wheel chairs to enable her to get down the beach. She went from the one with the breathing machine that was attached to her trachea,to the beach one with big bouncy wheels and was then hand pumped through a bottle being hand squeezed by one of the nurses, so she could get down the beach to catch a few waves.

Kelly was in full trust of her carer, we found out she loved surfing and had done it all before so she was super amped and the conditions and the experience a weekend or two before did not hinder her keeness to get out amongst the waves.

Prior to this weekend a few guys in the rubber ducky at the Surf Life Saving club took her out for a ride and accidently flipped the boat and got water down Kel’s wind pipe. These are all the risks you have to take into account when dealing with the ocean and to just decide to do this well awatre you cant get any water down your windpipe ina matter of critcal life or death is an outright living life to the fullest!

It frightened her and she had to get the water all pumped out, but being the legend that she is, without any signs of pulling out it was go time!,Kelly got back out in the ocean and caught a couple of waves.

The procedure we were relayed was told with the utmost seriousness and a giggle of pure admiration from the team leaders.Twenty five of us all lined the water an arm width apart and across to make a tunnel so her and Damien could ride to shore with back up if anything should of happened. The Team leaders all carried her out the back as she layed on her back. There was a person holding an umbrella over her head so the sun didn’t shine in her eye’s.The nurse followed out still hand squeezing air into her lungs, she had 30 seconds to a minute of air left in her when they stopped pumping to catch the wave and the other nurse was at the shore ready to reconnect the pump bottle to supply air for her again.

Kelly caught three waves with the last one being the craziest ride. The wave was quite powerful and they nearly nosedived, to our delight they didn’t and everyone was grinning as huge as the Chesshire cat from Alice in Wonderland and the hoots and high fives went round.Everywave caught i was holding my breath and jumping around like a maniac full of nerves praying she wouldn’t flip off into the water and drown, my nerves soon went and it were quickly replaced with complete admiration and inspiration.

After Kell’s surf we were told the next adventure for her was sky diving!!!!

So anyone who says they can’t do something should come to a D.S.A day and come surf, chat and watch these souls who really live life to their fullest, with the thanks and admiration of our real life angels who care and provide these experiences for them.

Only a surfer knows the feeling!

On the 3rd of December, Festival of Ability took place in a small town called Alstonville.

It was International disability week and i personally feel there should be more of these events around on a regular basis. You only have to attend and be apart of the event to understand why i’m writing about this.

The Festival was organized by Northcott disability services, this is where my mum works. The organisation is about enabling people with disabilities and building an inclusive future. The day was filled with activities such as getting your hand painted and printing it on a white sheet, stage performances, an information forum and free sausage sizzle and the ballina soup kitchen also were there hands on deck to ensure everyone had there bellies full.

Ever heard the saying “Love is all you need?”

It never made more sense then when i saw what i did at the event. It truely did literally bring a few tears to my eyes being there, and seeing the pure joy on the faces of everyone who attended there that day.

We as humans beings all share 3 significant things in common. In my eyes i feel it’s very significant and should be at the top of your to do list everyday in terms of practicing to remember these three things.

Everyone has a heart, soul, and a dream.

Thinking like this eliminates the focus on the exterior for a second or two.To be able to view people in this way eliminates the possibilities of rascim, discrimination, religious or feminist limiting views.

It’s a simple and a positive way of seeing people and yourself.

I would think it would be very rare to have been living in this world in this day and age, especially as we have so many chemicals, drugs, extreme sports and fast vehicles on the road along with disease all around us. Plus a massive over population that only increases the chances of having someone in your life that is affected by a disability.

I’m sure at least one family member or a friends family, a friend, or an experience with someone who has a disability has occured in your life.

My point being we should all become more giving with our time and help out in anyway by filling someones life with a little cheer. You could do this by either attending events such as the Festival of Ability, or there are many schools that would love some help in specific classes such as art and crafts, sports like the D.S.A ( disabled surfers association) life Skills, mental health associations, there are so many more.Today there is no excuse as we have technology and we can easily access any kind of association or community events information by a click of the finger.

What struck me was there are so many levels of disabilities, either being caused by an accident, to chemical imbalances, hereditary or from birth. We do live in a world where it’s very common and there are real life angels out there making these people’s lives more enjoying and enriching.

Everyone who was apart of the festival of Ability were these people and families. It promoted and inspired a new positive approach, to not ” Dis my Ability.”

Even with the most obvious disability, it does not hinder the notion that we are all very unique, with the ability to offer just as much magic to the world as anyone who does not have a disability. We are all so special in so many ways, we share so much in common beyond the obvious such as i mentioned before……. a heart, a soul and dreams.

“Dance like no one is watching,

sing like no one can hear you,

and love like you have never been hurt before.”

This saying never rang so pure and true as it did this day.I seen an Elvis impersonation, to indian goddesses belly dancing, the hearing voices mental health choir(who also are selling there very own cd’s) to great dancing skills from everyone to ABBA .

Everyone was having such a wonderful time dancing and screaming and singing encouraging one another on.There was no judgement, only pure fun all round.I thought to myself how refreshing it was as in such a cruel world at times with so much pressure to maintain a certain image and a work status to maintain for us.The people with the physical or mental limitations were more free then anyone and everyone living in a world of 9 to 5 jobs with all the ability and opportunity in the world!

This was so obvious and inspiring to me to watch and be apart of.

A lovely man who sang in the Hearing Voices choir called Ray won the surfboard i donated and painted on for the Festival. I wrote on it…

“It’s not what you see, it’s what you want to see, and that’s what you will see.x.”

It was very relevant as the choir was from the mental health association, people who have schitzophrenia, bipolar or a mental disability.Ray was so up beat, grateful and positive, compassionately using the board to raise more money for the association and creating an opportunity for a disadvantage kid to win it, right in time for Christmas.

In silence lies the ability to listen; to listen to ourselves and to others,
it is all these diverse threads woven together that create the wondrous tapestry of existence.
Freedom is the most cherished right ; it allows the full expression of every individual’s hopes, aims and aspirations …

Positive thought together with gentle perseverance is capable of miracles
then the impossible becomes the possible…

I found these words of wisdom in a book i borrowed off my nan just before i set off on my journey down the coast to meet up with the Surfers for Cetaceans crew, and its funny how i often find the right quote or picture or song or new friend just in the nik of time for a whole new door to open and more inspiration, fun and purpose to come flooding into my life.

It’s often in a tangled mess without structure , my life that is ,but it buffs out in the end somehow with surprise and some reflection of sheer gratitude and awe of how dam lucky i feel when i find myself in places such as Hungry Head ,and the job on hand is to save our amazing sea creatures.

It seems so obsurd at first that we even have to do something like this , fancy killing such amazing intelligent creatures who represent freedom love and purity ,secondly its the slap in the face that this is the world we are living in and have been living in for a while now, it’s common knowledge and universal law of balance what goes up must come down, the earth is heating up and pressure is building something has to give.
Amusingly , i find it ironic really, as it seems we are mimicking our own individual battle with in, the good verses evil battle , it mirrors outward from our influences from our world , the society we live in today . drenched in sickness and fear…….alas

I see how it could effect our personal freedom and as a whole, we as humans living on and among this beautiful land we call home , its all so blatantly obvious to see its all, life, animals, the environment and us, are all intricately connected in some confusing way, i dont feel its nessacarily important we know why or how in detail, just that we have the mere respect and knowing that it is and our actions like a pebble thrown in the sea has an effect,
that small ripples can turn into waves.

So just for thought i feel even if we are living in the dessert in the middle of Australia or the simple country life in a small town along the east coast or smack in the middle of our Capital Territory, the whales and dolphins that give us so much visual pleasure from either being veiwed on tv, doco’s or physically out on a boat in the ocean, their home where they play, they are silently, secretly, un- needingly being slaughtered in a political human war for the need of power and money.

I personally see this freedom they represent being stripped from them represents ours being stripped from us, we are one of the luckiest countries that has character, freedom, purity and magic, if we as Australians let people kill that, kill our icon of beauty, love, and freedom, we are letting them kill us and all we represent as Australians.

Another example i saw while on the Transparentsea voyage camping, sailing and hanging out on the beaches is, from afar the stunning brilliance of our coast line and beaches.
It’s like that good ol’ Aussie saying, another of our unique characteristics of being Australian is the ability to throw around words and take the piss out of each other, the saying ” good from far , but far from good! “……
when i got a close look at the beaches they were littered with bottles, foam, and plastics, why ?just pure laziness i say!
If we dont start pulling our finger out of our arses we will be living in our own ignorance and filth.

On the other hand, it brightens my future after i hang out with such amazing, compassionate humans who just dedicate their lives to save our ocean angels and hopefully put a stop to all killing and mass destruction.
we clearly see this happening in front of our eyes all over the bloody world! we have so much technology there is no excuse not to know what’s going on out there.

We have choice, simple as that.

We could choose to open our eyes, we could choose to open our ears and we could choose to re-ignite our hearts with passion and take a stand for our whales and dolphins and us.
Fight for their freedom and ours by being able to voice our opinions and see it get accomplished before our eyes that we chose to open.

Back to those wise words i found in that little book on the back seat of my nans’ car ……
Freedom is the most cherished right ; it allows the full expression of every individual’s hopes, aims and aspirations …

we can all choose to be apart of that freedom and play in a world that is fun, free and just like dolphins do best………
…….smile!

For all the sinics out there that are rolling their eyes , just ask yourself why you choose to do this? or think like that, with a defeated out look on life?
Like Bob Marley says “emancipate yourself from mental slavery”

Ask yourself this synic, do you have choice?
i know i do, took a while for me to open my eyes and see that i do.

Sometimes the obvious often gets looked over.

I recommend to everyone to read the book Shantaram, there is a passage in there where Gregory writes something similar, “in that moment of being chained to the wall in a vulgar indian prison, while being brutally tortured and his skin stripped of by every lashing he took, he realised he had the choice and freedom to either hate the prison officer and scream in agony for his pleasure in impulsive reaction, satisfying the officers’ need to punish him or stay silent as he did and forgive him going within himself and with that thought he hung there smiling with the twisted humour that even though he was in a prison he was free , free in his mind to choose what he wanted to.

I definately don’t do any justice to Gregory david Roberts writing or true story of his amazing life story. I just merely am showing an example that single handedly knowing you always, no matter what situations we find ourselves in, have choice and with that, choice is the most powerful tool to realise you do have. and when you do , you have the choice to think how ever you like! and it comes free.

Why not think constructively and manifest the best thing you could think of for yourself, others and our dolphins and whales, creating possibility to stop them from being slaughtered to extinction.
Maybe even that for a little harmony with the possibility, together we could choose to change the world and the way we as humans go about things.

This time for the better and the future of our country and oceans and everything thats living on it and in it.
Lets be that pebble thrown in the ocean that creates a ripple that turns into a tsunami of hope and change.

Remember this ………..

Positive thought together with gentle perseverance is capable of miracles
then the impossible becomes the possible…

When people do choose to rally behind a great cause and take initiative to choose to make the effort and stand up against the government in something they believe in, speaks for it self.

It speaks loud and clear in the smiles on peoples faces, in the sound of laughter together, in the smell in the air of achievement and another step in a goal to one day stop the senseless murders of dolphins and whales.

The last stop was Bondi Beach.

When we ran down the beach on a drizzly grey morning, it was so cool to be involved in welcoming home the boys from an end of a voyage that was so amazing in so many ways and the beginning of a pressure building that will one day be impossible for our world leaders to ignore.

A fun filled room was pumping at the Ravesis in Bondi at the after party.Live acts from Ashley Mannix, Will Connor, An acoustic act from the goons, Howie Cooke and the audience all got up and jammed!

The vibe from the voyage was brought into the room of laughter, adventure, light and love as an over head projector ran through through the moments captured by photographer Hilton Dawe.

I love being apart of surfers for cetaceans and everyone that it attracts.

Life has it’s rewarding moments, knowing when you are in sync with everything in your life is one. You have an intuition that all is how it is “supposed to be”. This is how I felt as I was sitting on the edge of a headland as a full moon rose on an oily night, with a cool breeze blowing. It was the colour of a red christmas light, that slowly turned fluorescent orange and was the size of a small house in the sky that was littered with millions of stars – it was totally surreal.

What better night to get the creative juices flowing, creating a muriel of fun, with a message to inspire us all to remember to live the life you love and love the life you live.

We have time, we have the choice, we have everything we choose as we live in Australia where we do live in a land of plenty.

Choose to go for a walk and watch the full moon rise, with a beer or wine in your hand.Be it with either the company of yourself, a friend, or a lover.

It will inspire and remind you of what you really love in life…..create more of what you love!

In my eyes there is no better way to start or end the day with the rise or setting of the sun, sometimes followed by the rise of a full moon.

“If my hearts beating …..nothing else matters, is what i like to live by now as it makes sense …dont you think?

…..It’s the whale organ of the body and it feels so much emotionally, physically, deeply and is the key reason for our existence….

The tables were set, the candles were alight, the room was sparkling with chandeliers, champagne and everyone smiling in their best suits and dresses .

We were all here for dinner at the Manly golf club to celebrate the value for life and all that’s great in it, Peter Crumpton especially.

He had been clinging on to his life, till the last seconds when he had finally received his second chance at living.

The gift of a heart .

Pete’s dinner was very close to my heart, as the year just gone was when my family almost lost my dad , due to his heart failure.

Being at the dinner was moving and very special. One that clearly proved the saying right…”from every bad situation given, eventually with time and faith, there will be a positive lesson, outcome or story that comes from it. “…

and from every dark moment we will be blasted by light and love ….

That night there at the Golf club, there was so much love, happiness and unity that filled the air.

Being together celebrating ones life, and this night it was all about Pete’s life, that was so entwined with many other lives.

It was so special, so precious and its what we live for.

To be able to see the appreciation on valuing ones life, from the understanding of how we value our own lives.

That night we all enjoyed with everyone by just being there, it was overwhelming and strong in presence of love and heart.

Crumpy’s obvious passion for life was amazing to see and be apart of, as some heart felt stories, messages and thank you’s were shared as well as a load of in valuable humor thrown in. There is nothing that sounds better then the wreckless abandonment of laughter in the air that makes the heart sing …..

And in true blue aussie style banter ….

so lets all raise some money for a heart, a friend and a long well lived life!….

…because really ….

”if my hearts beating …..

nothing else really does matter “…

Karlee-anne Louise Mackie ( K.a.L.M )

I’m a professional free surfer/ artist/ model.

I have been given countless amazing experiences that i am exceptionally grateful for.

i have a thirst for life like a camel in the dessert searching for water.

So far i have learnt by being grateful for what you have been given is a major key to inner happiness and love.

The recent trip to japan only assured me all of this, and with that being further instilled into my heart.

I am grateful.

My journey started when i boarded the plane, dis-organised, but i followed my heart wanting to be apart of this positive movement, one that i was passionate for and one that i felt was going to be soul growing and special.

To save the dolphins and whales that i share the ocean with everyday.

I landed in japan at Osaka airport at 10 pm, no address, no hotel name or number.

My biggest issue was i had no bloody clue how i was going to find where i was supposed to be with out a little patience and some faith something would happen to help me find my way to where i should be.

I was 80% sure i was going to be sleeping at the airport for the night, which i was re assuring myself thta lots of people do it and i could Handle it.

It’s funny when your intuition sometimes kicks in, as i felt something would happen and i would eventually somehow get to where i was supposed to be.

so half hour to 40 mins later, after walking round the airport, numerous failed attempts at the phone dialling any number i thought would help in my aid to contacting by this time anyone!.

It helps if you can understand the japanese speaking operater lady.

I didn’t.

I decided to wing it, and try catch a bus somewhere, none the wiser i was an hour bus ride from where i was supposed to be staying.

I proceeded to head towards the Osaka south buses, but some feeling inside was pulling me the other way

so i went with it and headed towards the Osaka north buses.

Funnily enough i passed Isabel Lucas and two men, as i kept walking this went through my head, as i kept walking about 5 or so meters past them ,…..”oh she’s Tash from home and away, wonder what she is here for ? maybe a movie? i saw her holding a photo in the Surfer’s for Cetaceans and save the whales campaign.”

I spun around and yelled!

“WAIIIT,ARE YOU HERE FOR DAVE AND TO SAVE THE DOLPHINS?!!!

“YES “,Isabel yelled back to me .

so lucky,

I hopped on the right bus with her dad and photographrer Peter Carrett for the hour bus ride to our hotel.

For me, its either dumb luck or meant to be but i find myself in these situations quite often.

Jjust following my heart, trying to understand the world and how it works, myself, and others. This leads to funny adventures around the world fortunately meeting such special, talented, beautiful people with hearts bigger then the oceans …this trip was going to be very special significant one i was certain of this.

My story is of compassion i witnessed there, the understanding of the dedication i saw from others, and love.

To make a positive action, one that everyone has the ability to do.

Individually coming together as a group, we were representing millions of people who feel the same need to save and protect cetaceans .

Everyone there had a love for life and everything that’s real and good from it .

As well as a fortunate life growing up beside the ocean where our smart, beautiful friends of the sea play.

We as individuals became a group really easily, like long lost brothers and sisters.

Our group goal in Taiji was not to create havoc, but to create an awareness of what is really going on.

We were in Japan to represent the millions of people who surf with dolphins and whales and love them.we came to honour those who have been killed and hope those kills do not continue.

As a group we did this with a peace ceremony, a paddle out ceremony that has been done for years among the surfing world, that is still done to this day.

Every year to honour the Eddie Aikau a big wave surfing legend from hawaii, that is now an event.

A prayer is said to protect the present surfers, pay respect to the local surfers and ones that had lost their lives. This is done before heading out in the massive waves held at Waimea Bay on Hawaii’s North shore.

We paddled out in the killing cove at Taiji, being the first to ever do that.

We all slowly moved out staying together paddling towards it.

The cove was so beautiful considering the horrific things that go down in it to emulate and create this same peace circle that is practiced every year at the Eddie.

Its not only the slaughtering of these beautiful creatures that ignited the flame within and the need to stop the killings.

The people of Japan to my knowledge are unaware that there are killings of dolphins and small whales going down in that one particular cove, among many more in Japan and also other parts of the world.

The meat and blubber from the whales and dolphins are drenched in mercury that is also not to any of the general public’s knowledge.

Tests have been carried out by international and local scientist proving that dolphin and whale meat caught, contains higher levels of mercury then the seafood that poisened thousands of people with the minimata flesh eating disease.

Tests in Ibraki prefecture have shown levels of mercury to be 9.55 times over the advised level set by the health ,labor and welfare ministry of japan.

The most recent tests carried out in September 2007 showed levels of mercury exceeding the limit by 87 times!!!

After our successful paddle out and ceremony circle, that we shared with 2 eagles overhead circle us.

The energy in the air was electric. We were all so happy to have done something positive and start the ball rolling for global awareness in the bid to put a stop to the killings everywhere.

The news came as a shock and hit us with a profound impact that we had really not achieved all that much yet, as we heard that there were 35 pilot whales in the cove and ready for slaughtering by sun up.

With quick thinking and group co-operation we all did our bits, either waiting in the hotel for the outcome of the 6 surfers, actors, and journalist (Karina Patroni, Isabel Lucas, Hannah Fraser, Dave Rastovich and Peter.) that had opted to travel the 8 hours back south to paddle out in the blood at sun rise for an amazing chance at really unveiling what happens at the ove in Taiji. The amount of publicity that lead to the world to then view on numerous news stations in the aim to stop the killings and see what really is going on in regards to the supposed “scientific research.”

Its ironic as i sit here on the south coast after getting back from Japan, relaxed and content as my friend fishes in the river.

Im lying under a big beautiful tree wondering how to write a story to unfold and re create the vision and emotions i shared with some of the most beautiful, smart, compassionate people from all over the world…..

All there with the same passion and heart.

I’m thinking is this super hypercritical of me?After that trip and im lying here watching my friend fish.

Personally in my opinion, i think no.

Over 20,000 dolphins and small whales are slaughtered from october to march .

Mass sensless killings that need to stop now!

I feel if we lived a simple life, caught a few fish, grew our own vegetables, used only what we needed.

Worried about what we need individually without being mindlessly greedy in producing masses of amounts of food to make money.

Catching and killing masses of animals for greed and money is crazy!

I love the saying i read from an ancient Indian prophecy.
• Only after the last tree has been cut down, Only after the last river has been poisoned, Only after the last fish has been caught, Only then will you find money cannot be eaten.
~ Cree Prophecy

I could imagine we would all be living in simple harmony.

Interrupted by the thought of ” how would the power trippers and multimillionares feed their selfish need for materialist, high status, power obssessed living?.

Not all multi millionaires are like this, that i do understand.

To me some days it just seems hopeless in the bid for world peace, unity and balance.

I have to honestly share though, what i experienced in Taiji is a massive glimmer of hope!

A lightning bolt of natural boasting shear streak of power and hope!

I believe we can find balance in this world individually and together. if we pull together and be consciously aware that everything we do and don’t do, has an out coe and an effect.

Actions create a difference, i came to realise it’s what we choose to see, what we choose to focus on.

What we subconsciously believe will create our world.

If you choose to see beauty in all you see, you will surely see it.

Believe and manifest love all around you.

I thought about that as i lied under the tree.

Compassion, Love, unity and respect creates magic, and more power then all the governments and religions combined.

The best thing about it too, it’s free for anyone and everyone!

Everybody who came to japan, traveled there knowing the main objective was to educate and stress the toxicity in dolphins and whales.

Might i add is from the pollution in our waters and oceans from humans.

We felt the goal was to gain trust, with this trust our aim was to help make a difference, from educating our knowledge and understanding of the situation. The slaughtering and captivity also a focus and equally serious.

The perfect outcome was to have the fishermans’ respect and understanding of the nonsense of the killings and terrible repercussions in screwing up the delicate balance of mother nature.

Taiji is a fishing village, it’s a beautiful town that has to sustain a living regardless.

Our vision was to introduce a new way.

A number of us in the group all came from Byron Bay, Dave Rastovich (professional free surfer )and wife Hannah Fraser (professional mermaid) got to share with the small town of Taiji where there home was.

Byron Bay now a huge tourist mecca was once an ex whaling town, also once sporting a sheep abotior.

Ironically it’s now leading the way in alternate living, promoting the importancy of living an eco environmentally friendly organic, spiritual, healthy way, boasting 1.2 million people that are attracted and pass through this tiny hippie town on the far north east coast of Australia.

so if a small town like Taiji can come from blood to beauty .

Why cant Taiji or any other town.

Aside from the killings and action that took place there, the Japanese are the most helpful , honourable people i have met .

From my travels around the world, spiritual, honest human beings who also share the love of dolphins and whales. We can’t scold a whole country or town on one small group of fisherman.

It’s the government and the fisherman and the companies who enable their funds that need the pressure, education and knowledge of what their actions are doing to our oceans, cetaceans and peoples lives.

The first paddle out ceremony with everyone was a perfect example of the magic that can happen and how life should always be lived.

Joining together, holding love and respect, showed that when approaching tense situations that need to change, taking action with love, unity and respect have a far greater rewarding positive out come.

Before the paddle out, Dave gave each of us a flower to throw into the centre of the circle. Some of the crew that came to paddle out had never been on a surfboard before, so teamwork was nessacerary for a quick entry and exit out of the bay which was done so smoothly. We all helped each other paddle out quickly moving as one entity.

We were all out in the cove sitting in our circle in the water in the bay where the killings go on and you couldn’t help but feel a heavy feeling.

it was powerful and emotional as a few tears were shed, while Dave shared some beautiful words.

we alll then said a prayer and threw our flowers in to the center of the circle

Hannah mermaid, Daves’ beautiful wife dived underneath us in her handmade mermaid tail.

Such an intense, surreal, moment for all of us .

Meanwhile back on the shore the fisherman looked on respectively and did not interrupt the ceremony, understanding it was a peace ceremony.

Back at the hotel a sense of achievement and excitement hovered in the air.We all met up and were drunk in the immense glory of the prospect of hope to put an end to the killings may be closer then we first thought.

Sadly to be jolted by the bad news that next day they had already rounded up a pod of 35 pilot whales.

We were here in japan to be heard, we were serious in what we were acting on.

As i mention ealrier on in my story a small group stealth missioned it down in the night to be ready for a paddle out at dawn.

I did not get to witness it first hand, the footage is graffic and can be seen on youtube. Taiji killings and dolphin slaughters.

I have never done anything like this in my life.

To be an activists and to be apart of a such a powerful, positive movement with friends to save our beautiful ocean angels has been such a fullfilling time in my life.

To give back with nothing in return is really really rewarding.

I reccommend and want to keep practicing this as the only religious part in my life.

Maybe if we start slowly, by putting back the pieces to puzzle of this broken up world, we will all benefit and become a more peaceful world of humans.

With our one simple need for living to be love, compassion, understanding, laughter, and respect for ourselves and others.

Could naturally keep our hearts happy, and our world clean and balanced.

To learn to think for ourselves, accepting and realizing it that effort together with gentle perseverance.

Having the knowledge and acceptance that things don’t happen over night or get fixed magically with a click of your fingers.

Our world is about quick fixes, restlessness, comparrisons and no gratitude.

Good things do come to those who put it out there and wait and learn to enjoy the journey of life and everything it teaches you.

Great or small.

Learn to be grateful and patient, because we all are dealt a different hand of cards so to speak, it’s really up to how you choose to play them.

If you can come to the knowledge that the power to happiness is in the power to learn to choose to feel.

How you yourself has the power to choose how you veiw the world.

So how will you choose what you can do to help?

I myself chose to travel by myself, not knowing anyone very well, as did everyone else who all individually chose to come to japan with the common denominator of

love, compassion and to help save our smart, beautiful ocean angels.

So lets all join hands and save our ocean friends.

Look up these websites to research and see how amazing these creatures really are.

Choose to help save the dolphins and whales before they are all gone and it’s too late .
